The shoppers who are street smart and like to shop from chic stores that are dotted across the Fashion Street will now have to look for new avenues to purchase trendy attires as the A/ward of the BMC has canceled the licenses of 49 such shops. As a matter of fact, failing to vacate these shops within 24 hours, the shop-owners will have to face the wrath of the BMC, who will take a strict action against them.

As per Kiran Dighawkar, the assistant commissioner of A-Ward of BMC, an action will be taken on these shops after seizing their stalls.

There are a total of 394 shop-owners in the whole of Fashion Street and they are permitted to run their respective businesses only within the range of 1X1 metres. But it was during the inspection that it was found that these shop-owners were violating the regulations after which a notice was issued to 49 such shops.
