Amid the Kathua and Unnao Rape Case came to light and became internationally infamous, the Bombay High Court on Thursday commented that these incidents are spoiling India’s image in the eyes of the other countries. 

The high court said that the people abroad are under the impression that India is not safe for people who believe in secular values and liberal ideas. The court’s observation added that India is emerging as a country of crimes and misdeeds.

A bench consisting of Justice SC Dharamadhikari and Justice Bharati Dangre said this while hearing a petition filed by the family members of rationalists Narendra Dabholkar and Govind Pansare to monitor the investigation process in their murders. 

After the incidents of rape in the country and violence, the Narendra Modi government has already been criticised by “rational” citizens. People not only in India but abroad have protested against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
