The Tourism Department has decided to set up the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj War Art Museum at Gorai in Mumbai. State Tourism Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha informed a newspaper that this museum will be set up on 136 acres of land here. He mentioned that the museum will be funded out of INR 50 crore announced by the Shinde-Fadnavis government in the budget.


The tourism department announced a new decision on Monday. For this, a special meeting was held in the Ministry under the chairmanship of Lodha on Monday. In this meeting, a decision was taken to build a museum. The tourism department intends to start its work soon and the construction will be done under the jurisdiction of the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation.

This museum will be set up on the site of MTDC. Around 136 acres of land will be made available for this purpose. In this museum, one can see replicas of Shivaji Maharaj's various forts, mainly sea forts and other information. Apart from that, all the information about guerilla warfare or other war tactics can be available here. Along with this, information about Shivaji Maharaj's various battles will also be given through the museum. The final design of this museum has been decided and the work will be started soon.
