Kalina - Residents of Kalina took out a morcha protesting against the Grand Hyat Hotel. Protesters led by corporator Brian Fransis alleged that the hotel has constructed two floors without permission of the BMC authorities. The new construction is at the place in the Grand Hyat Hotel where a space is being reserved for the garden for citizens in the locality. Corporator Brian Fransis has been raising his voice against this since 2013 but no action is being initiated by the concerned authorities. Fed up of this, a large number of local residents resorted to the morcha. An assurance of swift action in this regard is being given to the protesters.
