Maharashtra reports 13,702 fresh coronavirus cases, 326 deaths on Sunday

The total number of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra is 14,43,409 and the death toll has reached 38,084.

Nearly 15,048 coronavirus patients recovered and were discharged from the hospital while 13,702 fresh COVID-19 cases were registered on Sunday. Meanwhile, 326 people have lost their lives to the coronavirus in one day. Since its inception, 11,49,603 coronavirus patients have recovered. The recovery rate in Maharashtra stands at 79.64 per cent. 

There has been a reduction in the number of active coronavirus cases in Maharashtra. The number of active coronavirus cases in the state is 2,55,281. Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra is 14,43,409 and the death toll has reached 38,084. 

Of the 71,11,204 samples, 14,43,409 samples have come positive (20.29 percent). Currently, there are 22,09,696 people in home isolation in Maharashtra followed by 27,939 people are in institutional quarantine. Maharashtra Public Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the death rate in the state remains at 2.64 per cent.

On Sunday, Maharashtra reported 13,702 new coronavirus patients and 326 deaths. Of these, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) reported 2019 fresh coronavirus cases and 48 deaths followed by 248 COVID-19 cases and two deaths in Thane. Thane Municipal Corporation reported 360 cases and seven deaths while Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) reported 278 cases and nine deaths. 

Moreover, Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) reported 414 COVID-19 cases and eight deaths and Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation reported 52 cases. Bhiwandi Nizampur Municipal Corporation (BNMC) reported 53 cases and two deaths, Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC) reported 199 cases and five deaths.

120 COVID-19 cases and two deaths were reported in Palghar. Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation (VVMC) reported 136 cases and two deaths. 192 cases and five deaths were reported in Raigarh. Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) reported 171 cases and three deaths followed by 338 cases and two deaths in Nashik.

Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) reported 664 cases and six deaths while Malegaon Municipal Corporation (MMC) reported 32 cases, Ahmednagar reported 544 cases and seven deaths. Meanwhile, Ahmednagar Municipal Corporation (AMC) reported 95 COVID-19 cases, Dhule reported 15 cases and one death. Dhule Municipal Corporation (DMC) reported 25 and one death while 140 cases and seven deaths were reported in Jalgaon.
