The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) corporators are demanding to launch cosmetic surgery centres in primary civic hospitals believing that these centres are need of the hour to fix people who lose their legs or suffer from some physical deformity.
Shiv Sena corporator Yashwant Jadhav said that cosmetic surgery is not only done to make one look beautiful but it also helps people who deal with physical deformities. Jadhav said that financially stable people can afford cosmetic surgeries but when it comes to the common man, it becomes a bit difficult. Hence, the BMC should make this service available at affordable rates.
Jadhav added that the BMC should bring in cosmetic surgery centres to help people in need and should also guide people in terms of medical advice.
