In what comes as a shocking news, a 21-year-old man diagnosed with COVID-19, who ran away from a hospital, has been arrested at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) station in Mumbai on Friday, January 28.

According to reports, he was admitted to St George's Hospital for treatment of the novel coronavirus.

Moreover, officials stated that he had picked up a used PPE kit from the trash in the hospital and wore it to avoid attention so that he can easily escape.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, in a similar incident, the Chembur police had arrested a convict who fled away from a COVID Care Centre. However, the police said the accused was arrested again within 24 hours.

The accused, identified as Sonu Gupta, had tested positive following an arrest. As per reports, he is a known criminal from the Chembur camp area in Mumbai. Gupta was earlier booked in different cases including threatening, dacoity, extortion cases among others.
