The pedestrian bridge near Shree Ganesh Mandir on Nehru Road, which connects Dombivli East-West with a pedestrian bridge, has become dangerous. Therefore, the Central Railway Administration has decided to close this bridge for repair work from April 1. Hundreds of citizens of Dombivli cross this pedestrian bridge to the east and west every day.

Central Railway has already surveyed many railway flyovers, pedestrian bridges passing through the railway line. Among these bridges, the pedestrian bridge from Ganesh Temple near Nehru Maidan in Dombivli to Bhave Hall in Dombivli West is dangerous, according to a report by the Structural Engineers Department of the Indian Institute of Technology, Powai, Mumbai to the Central Railway Administration.

The engineering department of railways inspected the pedestrian bridge at Dombivli, at which time it was observed by the railway engineers that the bridge was not convenient for pedestrians to travel regularly and that the bridge was dangerous. On the orders of the railway superiors, it was decided to immediately repair the maintenance of this bridge. The railway administration has decided to close the pedestrian bridge from April 1. As this bridge will be closed, citizens will have to walk from Dombivli Railway Station or Thakurli Railway Flyover to Dombivli East, West.
