Dombivli: Shilpata road to remain close for heavy vehicles on March 3

The government has organised its ‘Shashan Tumchya Dari’ program on Sunday at the premier ground on Kalyan-Shilphata road. Hundreds of beneficiary citizens from various municipal sectors will be present on this occasion. Therefore, the transport department has decided to close the heavy traffic on Shilphata road on Sunday, March 3, from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm.

The transport department has advised the heavy vehicles plying on this road to take an alternative route. Light vehicles will continue on this road only. Dr. Vinay Kumar Rathod, Assistant Police Officer of the Traffic Department, has published a notification in this regard on Friday. As the Shilphata road remains closed for the second time in a week, the cargo drivers have expressed their displeasure. The road was closed for the Balaji festival last week.

Entry closures and alternative routes are as follows

All heavy vehicles going from Mumbra, Kalyan Phata to Kalyan, Dombivli will be closed at Kalyan Phata. These vehicles will proceed from Mumbra turn road, Kharegaon to the desired destination via Mumbai-Nashik highway. Entry will be closed at Durgadi Chowk for vehicles going from Bhiwandi, Durgadi towards Shilphata via Patripool. These vehicles will go from Durgadi Chowk via Khadakpada to the desired destination. Access to Valdhuni Chowk is closed for heavy vehicles passing through Anand Dighe Bridge from Valdhuni Chowk. These vehicles will go through Ulhasnagar Subhash Chowk.

All heavy vehicles going to Kolsewadi via Vitthalwadi, Shriram Chowk are closed at Shriram Chowk. These vehicles will pass through Ulhasnagar, Shahad, Ambernath. Entry of heavy vehicles going to the Kolsewadi area from Newali Naka is closed at Newali Naka. These vehicles will go through Badlapur, Ambernath. Access to Khoni Nisarga Dhaba will be closed for heavy vehicles passing through Taloja Nisarga Dhaba Khoni. These vehicles will go to the desired destination via Badlapur, Ambernath, Katai Badlapur Chowk, Lodha Palava Kalyan Phata.
