Maharashtra: 12 IAS officers transferred prior Lok Sabha elections

Following directives from the Election Commission, the Maharashtra government took action on Tuesday by transferring Ashwini Bhide and P Velarasu, both additional municipal commissioners of Mumbai.

The Maharashtra government swiftly acted on the directives issued by the Election Commission, transferring Mumbai civic commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal, along with all municipal commissioners, and additional/deputy municipal commissioners who had served more than three years in their current positions and were posted in their home district. The Election Commission had set a deadline for compliance, requesting a report by 5 pm on March 19.

1. Appointment of Amit Saini, Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission, as Additional Commissioner of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation

2. Appointment of Sanjay Meena as Metropolitan Commissioner of Nagpur Metropolitan Area Development Authority

3. Appointment of Rajesh Narvekar, Commissioner, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation as Commissioner, Cooperatives and Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Pune

4. Appointment of Vishal Narwade, Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Buldhana as Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Dhule

 5 Abhijit Bangar, Commissioner, Thane Municipal Corporation, was appointed as Additional Municipal Commissioner, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation

6. Appointment of Ankit, Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Jalgaon to the post of Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Buldhana


7. Karthikeyan S. Appointment of Chief Executive Officer, Smart City Pune to the post of Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Kolhapur.

 8. Appointment of Ashwini Bhide, Additional Commissioner, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, as Managing Director, Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation.

 12. Dr. Kumar Khemnar, Additional Commissioner, Pune Municipal Corporation, has been appointed as Commissioner, Sugar, Pune.
