According to the latest reports, a case has been registered against Google CEO Sundar Pichai and five others from the company over the alleged copyright infringement of a Bollywood movie on YouTube. 

Based on accounts, Suneel Darshan, a Bollywood filmmaker filed the complaint against Pichai and stated that he has not sold the rights of his 2017 movie, "Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha" to anyone nor has he released it. However, he claimed that the said movie is running on YouTube with millions of views. 

It has been reported that Darshan alleged that his content has been "blatantly" utilized with more than a billion infringement as well as a considerable amount of money has been made owing to the illegal uploading of his film.

Darshan was quoted by narratives elucidating on how he holds Pichai responsible since he represents Google. He added that he has tracked more than 1 billion views of his movie. He further remarked that no action was undertaken in spite of the issue being raised by the company.

Additionally, apart from Pichai, officials named in the FIR include, Gautam Anand, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, YouTube, Joe Grier, grievance officer and four other employees of the tech giant, stated reports.

On the other hand, Pichai was recently conferred the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award.
