From October 1 - November 22, the total rain recorded in Mumbai by Colaba has been 68.8mm while Santacruz recorded 41.3mm of rain in the same period.

Mumbai recorded its second-highest November rain in a decade in a 24-hour period that ended at 8.30 am on Monday, November 22.

The India Meteorological Department's (IMD) Santacruz observatory recorded 24.7mm of rain. As per IMD's classification, this falls under the moderate rainfall category (15.6mm - 64.4mm).

It was in 2019 when the highest 24-hour rain was recorded (46.3mm) in Mumbai. However, in most years in the past decade, the city has not witnessed significant rainfall. November's all-time highest rain was recorded in 1972 (62.8mm).

According to the IMD's forecast, Mumbaikars are likely to experience light rain and thunder today, November 23.

On Sunday, November 21, evening, most amounts of rain was recorded accompanied by lightning and thunder. The rainfall was associated with a well-marked low pressure area over the east-central Arabian sea and a trough extending to the Maharashtra coast said an IMD official.

From October 1 - November 22, the total rain recorded in Mumbai by Colaba has been 68.8mm. Santacruz recorded 41.3mm of rain in the same period.

Not only this, but Mumbaikars have also witnessed a temperature rise. On Sunday, November 21, the city experienced the second warmest November morning, with its minimum temperature at 27 degrees Celsius.
