Education and Medicines Minister Hasan Mushrif said that liver transplant facilities would be made available to general patients at Sir JJ Medical Hospital at a moderate cost. He was speaking at a review meeting on various topics held at Sir JJ Hospital. 


On this occasion, Medical Education and Research Commissioner Rajeev Nivatkar, Director of Medical Education and Research Dr. Ajay Chandanwale, J.J were present. The founder of the hospital Dr. Pallavi Trapp was present as well. Minister Hasan Mushrif said that Grant Government Medical College and Sir J. J Group Hospitals, Bombay was established on May 15, 1845.

JJ Hospital provides quality treatment to poor and needy patients not only from Maharashtra but from across the country. JJ Hospital has 1,352 beds and 100 ICU beds. After getting the facility of liver transplant to the patients at this place, the common patients of the state including Mumbai will get relief.


The Department of Urology (CVTS) (Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery) and ward has been inaugurated at JJ Group Hospital Mumbai. The long standing demand for a better hostel for MBBS students in JJ Hospital will now be fulfilled.
