Amid the increasing cases of the coronavirus in Maharashtra, a 65-year-old woman has been tested positive for the COVID-19. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has identified people who may have come in close contact with the woman and sent them to Kasturba Hospital while others are being traced. 

The woman who has been tested positive for the coronavirus or COVID-19 serves lunch near a corporate office in Prabhadevi, Mumbai. The test result for the COVID-19 of people who came in close contact with her is awaited, said Sharad Ughade, Assistant Commissioner G-South Ward. 

A 25-year-old man was also tested positive for the coronavirus or COVID-19 on Tuesday. The man lives in the same area as the house help, who tested positive but was tested negative later. The patient sells tobacco in Ghatkopar area. 

On Tuesday, a 37-year-old man from Kalina was also tested positive for the coronavirus or COVID-19. The man has a travel history, he worked as a waiter in Italy. The 37-year-old passed screening at the airport and tested negative at Kasturba Hospital earlier.

Former Kalina corporator, Brian Miranda informed that the man had developed symptoms and later consulted a local doctor and then went to Kasturba Hospital again to be tested positive. 

The people who have been in close contact with the man has been kept under observation. 

Maharashtra has become the worst-hit state with 127 cases of the coronavirus with four deaths. In Mumbai, the number of positive COVID-19 cases remains 54. With the new cases coming up, the state fears to entre stage 3 which is the community transmission.
