Minority Development Minister Abdul Sattar said that in the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, it was decided that Minority Commissionerate and district level office will be established in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

Minister Sattar said that through the Minority Development Department, Dr. Zakir Hussain Madrasa Modernization Scheme has been implemented. The subsidy of this scheme has been increased and the subsidy for madrassas providing education of board school curriculum along with traditional education will be increased from INR 2 lakh to INR 10 lakh.
Scholarships will be provided for minority students for postgraduate and PhD courses abroad
