Former chief secretary Johnny Joseph who headed a three-member panel gave former MSRDC chief Radheshyam Mopalwar a clean chit after probing the charges of corruption and irregularities which were pressed against him.

In August, a clip had surfaced in which Mopalwar was accused of finalising a deal worth ₹4 crore for a 15,000 sq ft plot in Borivali. When the clip went viral, opposition leader Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil, former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan and NCP leader Ajit Pawar demanded a high-level probe against Mopalwar and a similar demand was made by the leader of the opposition in the legislative council Dhananjay Munde.

Following which, a committee was formed who then probed the charges and gave Mopalwar a clean chit, after which he was reinstated in his service.
