Mumbai: After Dropping To 19.8 Degrees Last Week, Minimum Temp Soars To 24.4 Degrees

Last week, the minimum temperature dropped to 19.8 degrees, on Monday, November 15, however, it surged by nearly five degrees reaching 24.4 degrees in Mumbai, highlighted reports. 

This is believed to be nearly three degrees over the normal. On the other hand, the IMD Colaba observatory registered an even larger minimum temperature of 25 degrees which is stated to be 1.8 degrees over the normal benchmark. 

Similarly, the maximum temperature logged by the IMD Santacruz observatory was 35.2 degrees, whilst that of the IMD Colaba observatory logged a maximum temperature of 32.8 degrees. 

On Sunday, November 14, the maximum temperatures registered by the IMD Santacruz observatory had increased to 36.6 degrees. Owing to the high humidity levels, discomfort levels also increased since the IMD Colaba and Santacruz observatory registered humidity at 86 per cent and 69 per cent respectively. 

Based on certain accounts, weather officials stated that the southeasterly winds are persistent due to which the temperatures have increased. Additionally, thunderstorms along with lightning accompanied gusty winds at certain isolated places are probable on November 16 and 17. This has been forecasted for regions in areas of Mumbai, Thane and Raigad. For the rest of the week, there is an anticipation of light rain and thunder.
