Based on the data released by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), on October 11, 2021, 410 patients tested positive in the Greater Mumbai area. In addition to this, 358 positive patients recovered and were discharged. The total active progressive is 5075.

Four fatalities were also reported on Monday of which two had comorbidities and all were female. Whilst one death was under the age of 40, the other three were over the age of 60. The total tests done were 28319.

The recovery rate of Mumbai was 97% and the overall growth rate of COVID-19 cases in Mumbai from October 4 to 10 was 0.06%. With this, the doubling rate of the island city is 1096 days.

Additionally, based on the containment measures taken on October 10, there are no active containment zones in the city, there are, however, 56 active sealed buildings. Moreover, the high-risk contact tracing undertaken in the past 24 hours is 2,358.

In addition to this, the civic authority is likely to undertake the sixth sero survey after Diwali to understand the levels of exposure in the citizens to the coronavirus. The fifth sero survey was undertaken this year in August which highlighted a significant level of antibodies’ amongst the citizens.
