In view of the health and hygiene of women passengers,Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL) has now decided to install sanitary napkin vending machines at stations on Metro 2A (Dahisar to Andheri West) and Metro 2A (Dahisar to Gundvali) routes. Recently, sanitary napkin vending machines have been installed at some metro stations.
The MMMOCL is providing new facilities to make metro travel safer. As a part of the same, MMMOCL has now started providing sanitary napkin vending machines in metro stations keeping in mind the importance of health and hygiene of women passengers.
Sanitary napkin vending machines have been installed in Borivali, Kandivli, Akurli, Gundvali and Dahisar metro stations with the help of an NGO. Now the number of these machines will be increased as per requirement. Also, these machines will be installed in other Metro stations as well.
