It has been shown that INR 24.70 lakh was spent on the reception and cultural program organised at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai during the first visit of President Draupadi Murmu, and the state government has approved it.
Draupadi Murmu visited the state in the first week of July after being elected as the President of the country. At that time some programs were held in her presence in Nagpur and later in Mumbai. She was felicitated civilly at the Raj Bhavan in Mumbai on behalf of the state government. At that time, Governor Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, Legislative Assembly Speaker Adv. Dr. Rahul Narvekar, Deputy Chairman of Legislative Council, Neelam Gorhe, former Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, Prithviraj Chavan and other dignitaries were present.
Administrative and financial approval
After the civic felicitation of the President, programs showcasing the culture of Maharashtra were organised in the evening. In it, the folk art of Maharashtra, Diwali dance, gondhal, Pandharichi Vari, Shiv Rajyabhishek Sohala etc. programs were presented. This cultural program organised on behalf of the Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department of the state and the expenditure for its organisation has been shown to be INR 24.70 lakh. The same department issued a government order on Thursday and approved the expenditure administratively and financially.
