The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted cooler nights in Mumbai in the coming days with minimum temperature ranging between 21-22 degree Celsius.
This development came at a time when residents woke up to a chill in the air as the minimum temperature in the suburbs of Mumbai dipped to 20 degree Celsius Wednesday morning, November 13.
Additionally, weather experts have also indicated that day-time temperatures are slated to dip in the next 4 to 5 days owing to the change in wind directions.
According to IMD data, the Santacruz observatory registered 20.4 degree Celsius, marking a departure of 1.2 degrees below normal, whereas the Colaba coastal observatory recorded 23.5 degree in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the maximum temperature hovered between 33-35 degrees in the island city and its suburbs on Tuesday, November 12. The minimum temperature was recorded at 21.4 and 23.6 degrees Celsius at Santacruz and Colaba observatory.
As per reports, the warmest November day was recorded at 37.6 degree Celsius in 2018, and the coldest night in the same month was at 13.3 degree Celsius in 1950.
