In the aftermath of the implementation of the odd-even parking scheme on certain roads in Bandra, reports state that the Mumbai traffic police have issued notifications to implement the same on 50 interior roads throughout the Eastern and Central suburbs. 

Based on reports, this has been done to ease traffic congestion in Mumbai caused owing to construction projects. The notification reportedly highlights that on even dates parking will be allowed on the eastern side of the road. Similarly, on odd dates, parking will be permitted on the west side of the roads. 

A traffic police official was quoted in reports elaborating on how an aggregate of 10 traffic chowkies in the Central and Eastern regions have been selected and the notification has been made to control parking on the 50 interior roads. 

The official further elucidated on how they are attempting to enforce no entry for heavy vehicles on the selected interior roads that are generally utilized by residents to make their way to the main road or the highway. 

It has been claimed in accounts that following the success of the scheme in Bandra west the said notification was released. In Bandra, narratives mention that the initiative was implemented on both sides of the Kadeshwari Temple Road from its junction with the St. Baptist Road up to the Sai Temple in Mount Mary.
