The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced water supply disruptions in across G South and G North ward owing to repair work on the 1,450 mm diameter Tansa (East) water channel.
This critical maintenance will take place at Senapati Bapat Marg from Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 10 pm to Friday, September 27, 2024, at 5 pm.
Hence, the supply to the nearby areas of these wards may also be affected. The BMC has notified residents of the affected areas to be prepared for either complete or partial water cuts during these 19 hours.
List of areas to face water supply disruption
G North:
Senapati Bapat Marg, Veer Savarkar Marg, Gokhale Marg, Kakasaheb Gadgil Marg, Sayani Marg, Bhawani Shankar Marg (33 percent water supply will be shut off between 4 pm to 7 pm)
Additionally, Prabhadevi, Adarsh Nagar, P. Balu Marg, Hatiskar Marg, Marathe Marg, Pandurang Budhkar Marg, Senapati Bapat Marg, N. M. Joshi Marg, and Ganpatrao Kadam Marg will also see reduction during this time.
G South:
Curry Road, Sakharam Bala Pawar Marg, Mahadev Palav Marg, Lower Paral, Delail Marg, B. D. D. Chal (water supply will be shut off from 4:30 am to 8:30 am) N. M. Joshi Marg, b. D. D. Chal (water supply off between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM) Entire Prabhadevi, Adarsh Nagar, P. Balu Marg, Hatiskar Marg, Marathe Marg, Pandurang Budhkar Marg, Senapati Bapat Marg, N. M. Joshi Marg, Ganpatrao Kadam Marg (33 percent water supply will be shut off between 4 pm and 7 pm).
The BMC has urged all residents in the affected areas to store sufficient water in advance and to use it judiciously during the repair period. It has also issued an appeal to all citizens in these localities to store sufficient water and use it sparingly throughout the duration of the repairs.
