Municipal Mazdoor Union demanded 20% bonus before Diwali Festival for every BMC worker, officers, contract workers. Union has asked Mayor & Municipal Commissioner to look into their demand. BMC is India's richest Municipal organisation which employs over 1 lakh people.Chief Secretary Mr. Shetty Municipal Mazdoor Union reported, "every worker is eyeing what percentage of bonus would be given to them before Diwali".
