Navi Mumbai: CIDCO declares declares 15% water cut from June 28

On the background of inadequate rainfall and unavailability of new water reserves in dam area CIDCO has appealed to the residents of nodes and villages under CIDCO's jurisdiction to use water carefully. Currently water reserves adequate for only 3 months are available in the dams. To execute the meticulous planning of the available water CIDCO has decided to cut water supply by 15% from 28th June 2023.

CIDCO supplies water to the nodes, villages under its jurisdiction and to the villages enroute Hetawane water supply scheme pipeline. CIDCO supplies water through various sources like CIDCO's Hetawane Dam, NMMC's Morbe Dam, MIDC's Barvi Dam and MJP's Patalganga Dam. But as there is still inadequate rainfall in the above dam areas and unavailability of the new water resources, all these authorities have also announced water cuts.

On the background of inadequate rainfall the available water reserves will be reviewed from time to time and water supply planning will be done accordingly for the upcoming days. So, CIDCO has appealed to the residents to cooperate with CIDCO by using water carefully & judiciously.
