Babrekar Nagar - Though BMC is advocating ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ may be it is not that serious about the same. Babrekar Nagar’s civic hospital which is surrounded by the waste, is a testimony for the same. This has led to the rise in mosquitoes and foul smell. According to the shop owners, slum dwellers throw the garbage outside the hospital and no action is taken by the civic officials. However, “We have taken action against offenders and we also ask residents not to throw waste yet people throw it,” said R South assistant commissioner Sahebrao Gaikwad.
