Navi Mumbai: CIDCO's Abhay Yojana to issue Pending Occupancy Certificates

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has directed to complete occupancy certificates, lease agreements, handover of pending buildings for recovery of surplus amount under CIDCO in Navi Mumbai area. Accordingly, CIDCO has announced a new Abhay Scheme for such buildings. The Chief Minister has appealed to more and more citizens and developers to take advantage of this scheme.


Earlier, no occupancy certificate/lease letter/handover of buildings was issued except recovery of additional amount under CIDCO in Navi Mumbai area. According to CIDCO's new Abhay scheme, buildings will be given occupancy certificate, leasehold, transfer without recovery of additional amount. This Abhay Yojana will remain in force till March 31, 2024. Also, according to Abhay Yojana, from now on the recovery of additional amounts will not be linked to occupancy certificate, lease deed, transfer, but this amount will be recovered separately.

This decision has been taken to solve the pending problems of common citizens without putting any financial burden on them. This will directly benefit many common flat holders. Similarly, giving waiver on premium for plot development will also help in bringing stalled projects back on track. Also, the government has also decided to provide a 50 per cent rebate in the amount of additional lease fee payable till March 31, 2024 to those developers who are unable to develop the plots within the stipulated period under this Abhay Yojana.


Apart from this, the government has also taken a strategic decision to reduce the additional price. The government has also planned a policy to regularise all buildings where more than one flat is built on small bungalows and row house plots.
