Shivshahi bus of ST Corporation met with a terrible accident in Navi Mumbai on April 25, 2023. One passenger of the bus died in the accident while 22 passengers got injured.
The accident took place in the Karnala pass which comes within the limits of Navi Mumbai on the Mumbai-Goa highway. Around 3:30 pm, Panvel-Mahad bus MH 09 EM 9282 with 38 passengers met with an accident. This bus was heading towards Mahad from Panvel. The bus driver who was driving rashly could not control the speeding bus. The bus went out of control at Karnala pass and overturned on the road.
When the bus reached Karnala pass, the driver lost control of the bus while turning. The bus overturned causing severe injuries to the passengers. The accident was so severe that 22 passengers in the bus were injured. One passenger lost his life. The injured have been admitted to Panvel Sub District Hospital and MGM Hospital in Kamothe for treatment.
