According to Praja Foundation’s report card for the year 2020, the performance of the city’s elected representatives dropped over the previous year with 220 corporators going down from 60.2 per cent in 2018-19 to 55.7 per cent in 2019-20.

Moreover, Shiv Sena's number has dropped in this annual progress book. Only two Shiv Sena corporators have been included in the top 10 corporators. The Congress has bagged the first position and the BJP has been given the second position whereas the Shiv Sena is in the third position. The report takes into account the education of the corporators, their criminal background, the complaints lodged against them at the police station, court petitions, attendance in the House, questions raised in the meeting, use of corporator funds etc. The report aims to judge the corporators’ performance in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) every financial year. This year’s report was from April 2019 to March 2020, before the restrictions due to the pandemic shut down the corporation’s political activities.

As per the report, BJP corporator Harish Chheda has bagged the first position with 82.7 per cent marks. BJP's Nehal Shah is at the second position where he has been given 80 per cent marks. Shiv Sena's Anant Nar is in the third position with 79.9 per cent marks. Samadhan Sarvankar is ranked fourth. Other corporators include BJP's Swapna Mhatre, Asha Marathe, Prabhakar Shinde, Congress' Ravi Raja, Virendra Chaudhary and Kamarjahan Siddiqui.

In addition, the report found that the issues raised by the corporators in the various committees were not consistent with the complaints raised by citizens. As per the report, a total of 2,270 questions were asked by the corporators in all the 13 committee meetings including the general body. Out of the 2,270 queries, only 63 were related to drainage issues. However, the highest number of complaints by citizens registered with the civic body through helpline number, letters, email was about drainage issues at 23,780.
