Speaking upon the incident of assault in Pune's multiplex by MNS workers, Bombay High Court told multiplex owners that if they want justice then they should go to the police since the case was about the petition for food at multiplexes being sold at an expensive price and the act of vandalism has no relation to the case. On Monday the court heard a petition which has been filed in the court against multiplexes selling overpriced food.
The multiplexes have banned outside food and charge too much money on the food that is being sold in the theatres. Due to this, the consumers are miffed as they are forced to buy the expensive food when they are hungry. In regard to this, a petition was filed in the court. Three days ago, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists had also resorted to protest in ‘MNS style’ (taking matters into their own hands and resorting to violence) by slapping the manager in a Pune multiplex.

After which, the multiplex owners told the court that they were being harassed and the threatening attitude should be stopped. But the court instead said that such matters should be taken to the police. The court said that the case is about a different matter and so, instead of complaining about it in the court, the owners should approach the police.
