Mumbai’s dabbawalas have successfully garnered a worldwide attention for their unique management of supplying tiffin boxes to Mumbaikars. From visits by Prince Charles, Richard Branson to employees of Federal Express, the dabbawalas are now a Harvard case study.

Now, the dabbawallas are even more proud as the Queen Maxima of Netherlands will be visiting them. On Monday, The Queen consort of the Netherlands, Queen Maxima, arrived in New Delhi, for a four-day tour, 

She is visiting India in her capacity as UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development. On May 30, she will be visiting Mumbai Dabbawalla Association, confirmed Subhash Talekar, in a conversation with Mumbai Live.

The association will welcome her in a traditional way at Andheri railway station around 1:00 pm. Further, they are more than happy and are busy with the preparations to welcome Queen Maxima. Talekar said that they are planning to gift her a tiffin box as a token of respect.
