Although the Dombivli local is meant for Dombivlikar passengers, since last few months passengers from Mumbra, Diva areas have been travelling the reverse route to reach Dombivli and start their journey again towards Mumbai. Due to this type of situation, passengers from Dombivli do not get standing space in Dombivli local and due to increase in scuffle with passengers coming from Mumbra, Diva area, railway security force personnel have been stationed at platform number two of Dombivli railway station since two days.
While boarding in Dombivli local there should not be any kind of rioting on the platform, every passenger should be able to board the local train without jostling, is the main objective of security personnel. Dombivli Division of Railway Security Force has started planning that even if passengers board from Mumbra, Diva areas with valid passes, passengers boarding from Dombivli should not argue with them and every passenger should be able to sit in the desired seat in the local.

Before entering Dombivli local station, railway security personnel ask male and female passengers to line up, as per the report by Loksatta. When the Dombivli local arrives at the station, once all the passengers have alighted from the local, then the passengers on the platform are allowed to board the local coach without any manipulation. Due to this, every passenger has been able to travel with satisfaction.
Although local trains departing from Karjat, Kasara, Kalyan, Badlapur railway stations stop at Diva, Mumbra areas, many passengers are unable to board local trains due to heavy rush in these stations. Even if you get to climb, you have to push yourself and get into the compartment. To avoid this problem, many passengers from Diva, Mumbra area take CSMT-Dombivli local to Dombivli railway station in the opposite direction.
