Good news for four lakh female government employees in the state who will be able to avail special child care paid leave of 180 days till their children turn 18 years old. This leave is applicable for women with two children or more and men who are widowers.
On Tuesday, Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar agreed for special child care leave proposal informing that this special child care leave can be used at one stretch or in intervals.
He added that a parent will be able to use these leaves during their children’s important examinations i.e. SSC and HSC but will be able to take thrice a year. In addition to the existing 180 days of maternity leave, the special leave will be added.
