In connection with bringing 22 students stranded in Manipur to Maharashtra by a special aircraft, the state's Chief Minister Eknath Shinde spoke to Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma over phone.
22 students stranded in Manipur will be brought to Maharashtra by special aircraft and prior to that these students will be brought from Manipur to Assam. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh discussed the issue over the phone. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde contacted students from Maharashtra stranded in Manipur due to the ongoing riots over phone and assured them of all possible help.
Meanwhile, a special aircraft has been arranged to bring these stranded students back to Maharashtra and soon this aircraft will reach Maharashtra with 22 stranded students. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde contacted several students from Maharashtra who are studying in NITs, IITs of Manipur and among them Tushar Awhad and Vikas Sharma spoke to them over phone and reassured them and assured them of all possible help.
In this regard, the Chief Minister has directed State Chief Secretary Manoj Saunik to contact Manipur Chief Secretary and Director General of Police to request them to take care of the safety of the students.
