An individual list of records of Kunbi, Maratha-Kunbi, Kunbi-Maratha categories found in various government and semi-government offices of Mumbai city district will be made available. If the persons included in this list and the applicants who presented the necessary evidence are eligible as per the rules, then a special camp will be organised on January 30 and 31, 2024 from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm to fill the caste related application form. City Sub-Collector Kalyan Pandey gave this information in a press release.
This camp will be organised at the district level in Apna Sarkar Seva Kendra, Collector Office Complex, Old Custom House, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Marg, Fort, Mumbai and a special room set up in the ward office of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation in total 9 wards of Mumbai. The state government vide its letter dated 18 January 2024 informed that the committee constituted under the chairmanship of Justice Shinde (Retd.) is to immediately issue Kunbi caste certificates to the eligible persons in respect of Kunbi records found in various districts.
Accordingly, on the basis of records found regarding Kunbi, Maratha-Kunbi, Kunbi-Maratha castes, instructions were given to organise these camps to provide Kunbi, Maratha-Kunbi, Kunbi-Maratha caste certificates to the concerned eligible persons.
Mumbai City Collector has appealed to the citizens of Kunbi, Maratha-Kunbi, Kunbi-Maratha categories of Mumbai City district to participate in the camps and cooperate with their available evidence.
