In the last few days, incidents of stone pelting on local trains have increased in Mumbai. On Monday, some unknown miscreants threw stones at a running AC local train. Due to which many window glasses were broken. This incident of stone pelting took place between Kandivali and Borivali. Although no one was injured in this stone pelting, the glass of the window was broken.
As soon as information about stone pelting was received, Borivali Railway Police immediately reached the spot. An AC local train running between Churchgate and Virar station was pelted with stones on Monday afternoon. It is being said that when the AC local reached between Kandivali and Borivali stations, stones were thrown at it.
This incident happened around 3:38 pm. Five to six glass windows of AC local were broken in stone pelting. All the passengers traveling in the local train are safe. Mumbai Railway Police is investigating this matter. A case has been registered in this regard at Borivali Railway Police Station.
