Count of the Swine flu patients across the city has increased up to 13. In the year 2015, 3,029 swine flu patients were registered. 7,581 suspected cases have been reported in Maharashtra. Swine Flu is spreading in various locations across the city which includes Dadar, Parel, Lalbaug and Byculla.

This is a respiratory disease caused by influenza viruses. It infects the respiratory tract resulting in a heavy cough, decreased appetite and nasal secretions. It can be transmitted easily through the air, skin, saliva and contaminated surfaces.

Swine Flu Precautions –

Stay home, if you are sick or have any flu-like symptoms

Wash hands frequently to avoid flu

Carry hand sanitizer

Stay out of crowd as much as possible

Do not drink or eat outside to avoid contamination

Go to the doctor within 36 hours. Antiviral medicines will halt the progression of H1N1 Virus
