Thane: Water cut in Mumbra for 8 hours on January 10

Water supply is frequently under low pressure in the area due to a large number of unauthorised tap connections and water leakage on the Mumbra main channel which supplies water to Diva Ward Committee and Mumbra Ward Committee area of Thane city. The Mumbra main water channel has a diameter of 660 mm from which 52 dl of water is supplied from Kalyan Phata to Mumbra fire brigade. It is necessary to shut down the water supply for the repair work of the said water channel and to break the unauthorised connection.

The water supply from Kalyan Phata through Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation's water channel will be stopped for 8 hours on Wednesday 10/01/2024 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm to repair leakage of water line and break unauthorised connection in Diva and Mumbra Ward Committee. 

Water supply will be at low pressure for the next 1 to 2 days after the water supply starts after the repair of the water line. However, the water supply department has appealed to the citizens to store water properly and cooperate with the Thane Municipal Corporation.
