After major floods hit Kerala, 324 people have lost their lives and with almost two lakh people being displaced, it is huge chaos in the state. Other states including commoners are helping the state by financially funding to help the victims. 

Along with monetary help, food and other relief items are being sent too. Maharashtra government announced ₹20 crore for Kerala relief fund. 

To help victims injured in the floods, a team of 66 doctors from J.J. Hospital has left for Kerala. Amid worse conditions in the state, Medical education minister Girish Mahajan on Sunday decided the same. The team will provide medical assistance in Kerala for almost six days. 

Aakash Mane, a doctor in J.J. Hospital, informed that they have taken every kind of medication as the situation in Kerala is not good.

Based on the urgency sought by Kerala government, Maharashtra government has also sent 35 tonnes of relief material which includes food packets, Milk Powder, bedsheets, clothes, soaps, sanitary napkins etc. Along with the government’s help, Mumbaikars have also set up collection centres all across Mumbai.
