The Food and Drugs Association (FDA) has uncovered serious hygiene violations across several restaurants, clubs and pubs in Mumbai. Action have been taken against these establishments as most of them failed to meet the food quality and hygiene practices standards set by the FDA.

Similarly, in a recent video, which went viral on Instagram, exposed shocking hygiene issues at Meraki Chinese in Navi Mumbai.

The clip showed rotten food, cockroaches, dirty sinks and countertop with unwashed utensils everywhere. The floor and drainage are also in very bad condition.

The manager blamed pest control upon confrontation. However, the food service continued, raising serious public health concerns and sparking outrage across social media. It is also a serious health violation.

The video was shared by the Instagram account @mirajparekh.me.

When Miraj asked the restaurant manager, Vishu, about it, he said pest control was going on, which is why things were out of place.

His post has since gone viral, sparking outrage among viewers and prompting widespread concern about public health safety.

It also raised critical questions: How many people may have fallen sick after eating here? Why hasn’t the establishment been flagged or shut down earlier? Is someone turning a blind eye to these conditions?
