Pipeline repairs in several parts of Mumbai on Friday and Saturday could well mean that your taps could run dry on these two days.
The civic authorities have issued an alert saying that the repairs, to be carried out from 10 am on 7 July till 10 am on 8 July could affect water supply in several places. These include Cuffe Parade, Nariman Point, Colaba, CST, Backbay, Peddar Road, Napean Sea Road, Tardeo, Senapati Bapat Marg, Gokhale Road, BDD Chawls, Worli, Khar Danda, Mumbai Central, Nagpada, D C Road, Reclamation, Koldongri and others.
Some places will be affected severely while others will receive water at a lower pressure.
Even if the met department promises a wet weekend, be sure to stock up on your water supplies for the next two days!
