The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced repair works in the Tansa main adequate on March 14 and 15.

Owing to this, several areas that fall under the jurisdiction of G/South (Worli, Prabhadevi, Lower Parel) and G/North (Mahim, Dadar, Matunga and Dharavi) municipal wards will face low water supply on both the days.

The BMC will initiate the repair works from 8 am on March 14 and the works will continue till 2 pm on March 15.

According to reports, the civic body will take up repairing works of the leaks in the Tansa east-west main aqueduct at Senapati Bapat Marg, Lower Parel.

Moreover, the officials stated that the local ward office may impose water cut in several areas in their jurisdiction during the operation. Therefore, water pressure will be severely low.

Due to a major technical fault at the Bhatsa Lake hydroelectric station, which supplies water to Mumbai, the water supply in Mumbai will be cut off for 30 hours next week, while a 15 per cent cut in water supply has already been imposed.

The BMC have urged citizens to store adequate water and utilise them with utmost concern during the said days.

Amrutwar Marg, Veer Savarkar Marg, Gokhale Marg, L. J. Marg, Sayani Marg, Bhavani Shankar Marg, Sena Bhavan Complex, Mori Marg, T. H. Kataria Marg, Textile Market, Mahim (West) Division, Matunga (West) Division, Dadar (West) Division.

Low pressure water supply in this area

Mahalakshmi, Dhobi Ghat, Satara Road will have low pressure water supply on March 15 from 4 am to 7 am.
