On Friday, November 12, in certain parts of Mumbai such as Worli, Napean Sea Road, Bhulabhai Desai Marg, Dadar, Mahim and Prabhadevi, the water supply has been hit, highlighted reports. This is being attributed to the unexpected leakage at Powai's Vaitarna supply line.

Based on accounts, officials have mentioned that the water supply will be affected from November 12 to 13 for a duration of 24 hours that is from 11 am to 11 am.

The civic authority took to Twitter to state that the water supply in wards G South, G North, D and A on 12 and 13 November will be affected. Adding that whilst war-level repair work begins, the water supply will be restored by tomorrow morning. Therefore they appealed to all to use water carefully.

Whilst repair works have been promptly undertaken, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elaborated that the direct water supply from Worli, Malabar Hill and Pali reservoirs along with that from Mahim will bear the brunt till tomorrow.

Narratives quoted the BMC saying that owing to the leak repair work there persists a possibility of low pressure and insufficient water supply in the mentioned area on November 13 as well.
