A woman working as a sweeper in a private establishment in the Viko Naka area of MIDC died on Tuesday after falling from the third floor of the building. The woman was living with her family in the Pisavali area. The name of the dead woman is Gudiadevi Manish Kumar. She was working as a cleaner in a private office.

The woman and her colleague Bunty were sitting on a ledge near the stairs on the third floor of the building before they started cleaning. They were chatting and making fun of each other. While the two were joking with each other, Gudiadevi went near the railing and Bunty came along and leaned on her which made both of them lose their balance. Bunty was able to stop himself from falling but Gudiyadevi fell from the third floor of the building and died on the spot.
A case has been registered in Manpada police station in this regard. Police are also investigating whether it was an accident. Gudiadevi has two small children.
