To celebrate International Women's Day a 'Women's Zone' has been started at Late Mukund Keni Sports Complex based on the concept of Mandar Keni under the guidance of NCP MLA Jitendra Awhad. This is the first attempt made in Maharashtra to have a separate section for only for women in a sports complex with the concept of 'Healthy Women... Healthy Family'.

A few months ago, Late Mukund Keni Sports Complex was inaugurated near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa. Mandar Kine had proposed the concept that there should be a separate section for women in this sports complex equipped with various activities. Based on his concept, a separate department equipped with Zumba, Acupressure Walk, Yoga and Open Gymnasium has been started with the idea of 'Strong Women..Strong Family'.

On the occasion of Women's Day, NCP's Thane-Palghar Women's President Rita Awhad and Leader of Opposition Pramilatai Keni inaugurated this separate hall.
