Rohit Sharma fit for England tour after he passes the YoYo Test

After reportedly failing twice, Sharma asked for another opportunity to clear the test and BCCI granted him the permission to re-appear on Tuesday for the test. But, Sharma failed to show up for the test. If he had failed to appear on Wednesday for the test, he would have been substituted.

Recently, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made the YoYo test mandatory for any player to get selected in the squad. 

Rohit Sharma’s selection chances looked bleak as he had failed the fitness test twice reportedly. Sharma had asked BCCI for another chance after failing the test twice reportedly, to which the cricket board had called him on Wednesday at National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bangalore and he finally cleared the test ensuring his spot in the team.

Sharma will be leaving along with Virat Kohli and Co. on June 23 for the England tour where they will play two T20s against Ireland before battling the English.
