After Vinayak Samant’s appointment as the head coach of the Mumbai senior team, Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has appointed Amit Dani as the assistant coach for the team. Former Mumbai all-rounder Amit Dani will guide Mumbai Ranji team, along with Samant. Dani has captained Mumbai and Goa in 14 matches with 41 wickets and 664 runs to his name.

After retiring from first-class cricket, Dani turned towards coaching and guiding budding cricketers. During the 2014-15 season, Dani had served as the fielding coach of the Mumbai team while for the next two seasons, he worked as the fielding and bowling coach of the Under-23 Mumbai team.

On the other hand, Sandesh Kawle has been appointed as the new head coach after Vinayak Mane had resigned from the post of the coach of Under-16 Mumbai team. Earlier, Kawle was the head coach for the Under-14 team and “has been promoted”, as per MCA officials.
