    Mumbai Cricket Association is very unlike to renew the contract of the coach Chandrakant Pandit for the upcoming season. Sources said that two former Indian batsmen Pravin Amre and wicket-keeper batsman Sameer Dighe are in the race to coach the most successful team in the Ranji Trophy. Pandit has been the coach of the Mumbai team for two years and under his belt team won the Ranji Trophy for the 41st time.

    Even in the last season, Mumbai had reached the finals, but Parthiv Patel led Gujarat defeated Mumbai. Amre has a lot of coaching experience and is also associated with some IPL teams. It has also been found that the coach will also be appointed for different age groups. Amre is a member of the MCA Managing Committee.
