On February 21, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) declared that Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the Australia tour of India after he sustained a back injury. Accordingly, the 25-year-old will undergo strength and conditioning training at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru from next week.

In the meantime, no replacement for Pandya has been named in the T20 team but left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja is all set to replace him in the One-Day series against Australia

Earlier, the Baroda all-rounder had suffered an injury during the Asia Cup. After which, he made his way back in Indian team during the Test series against Australia but was sidelined due to the Koffee With Karan controversy.

After which, the cricketer made his comeback in the third ODI against New Zealand. But now his back stiffness has once again put the 25-year-old out of the cricket ground.

The two T20Is will be played on February 24 in Bengaluru and February 27 in Visakhapatnam. After which, they will lock horns in a five-match ODI series beginning from the encounter on March 2 in Hyderabad, March 5 in Nagpur, March 8 in Ranchi, March 10 in Mohali and March 13 in Delhi.
