Ace cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar, on Saturday, March 27, 2021, took to Twitter to inform that he has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). He further informed that he developed mild symptoms and had quarantined at home by taking necessary precautions for the same. 

His message on the social media platform said, "I have been testing myself and taking all the recommended precautions to ensure Covid is kept at bay. However, I've tested positive today following mild symptoms. All others at home have tested negative. I've quarantined myself at home and am following all the necessary protocols as advised by my doctors. I want to thank all the healthcare professionals who are supporting me and many others across the country."

 

Soon after he shared the message, West Indies legendary cricketer Vivian Richards shared his good wishes for Sachin, asking him to get well soon. His message read, "Wishing well and a very speedy recovery to my man @sachin_rt. Get well soon little master. You have prayers of billions around the world."

Others who also wished him well included Nitin Gadkari, Yuzvendra Chahal, Irfan Pathan and many fans!

Sachin was recently in the Road Safety World Series where the Indian Team won against Sri Lanka.
